I’m not sure how well connected this is in comparison, but we also have a facility in Brisbane. It’s a hella away from public transport, no green space or facilities such as local shops, schools etc. Hasn’t stopped our Lord Mayor from the largest council from pointing at this facility as fix-all. 
State govt built a quarantine place at Toowoomba during covid; not sure if that still exists.
