Musk is a ass and his racism and misogyny are obvious. That said, below-replacement-level birthrates will indeed a real big problem for advanced societies that rely on workers to support retirees and social welfare programs. Immigration helps in the medium term but is not a permanent fix.

Immigration makes the economy stronger but it does not make us younger as a population (or it does but very slowly). They raise birth rates but the adult migrants are older. Let’s say it helps stabilize the age structure. But also makes the economy stronger, both important for social welfare.
