Obviously not. So, if you are going to make an animal rights argument I’d be sympathetic to that. However, I’ve examined the issue and (1) it doesn’t convince me to forgo personal consumption of animal products entirely and (2) I certainly wouldn’t impose restrictions on others.
It’s not just about animal rights. Beef and dairy also pose a serious environmental threat. Eliminating red meat is one of the most impactful things an individual can do to reduce their carbon footprint. So I keep eating chicken and fish on occasion, but I’ve let beef go, for instance.
