September is climatologically the 4th warmest month of the year for the vast majority of the Contiguous U.S. (after June, July, and August). Along the west coast, September is the 3rd, 2nd, and in a few cases, the 1st warmest month of the year.

Lived 20 years in San Francisco and it was always our warmest month, guaranteed. As the Central Valley cools down, the fog pulls back.

Humans walked across a land bridge between Russia and Alaska. Climate changes. Get over it.

My guess is Hawaii is in that maroon blob, or at least red. I usually notice the 1st (relatively) cooler night in mid-late October.

The waters around Hawaii are warmest in September, but the last areas, including Honolulu, are warmest in August.

Keeping an eye on Kiko. Models bring it into our area in ~1 week. I’m no climatologist, but I am a weather nerd. Home Wunderground station linked on my personal website 808nami.com.
