My 79 year old mom who has terminal cancer took a trip to visit the island she was born on in Norway. She is a us citizen. When she returned after traveling for 16 hours - she was bullied by the DHS guy at passport control. He purposely made her wait while he joked around with colleagues.

He told her he was in charge and didn’t care if she had a train to catch. He was just acting psycho and macho and crazy. Finally a female employee intervened and let my mom (who has global entry even) through. No person should be treated like this when they enter the country.
