I'm *very confident* that the Government know a lot more about how they work than you do, Chris... And its them who is looking at making this small amendment, not me.

You don't seem to know how government or grammar work as you seem to think government is simultaneously singular and plural. The ECHR is an international treaty. It cannot be unilaterally amended by a signatory. Anyone who thinks it can because one government minister says so is a gullible idiot.

Clearly you aren't going to agree with me - so you will just have to wait a few weeks until the amendment is reported, then review your position. While you wait, you might like to research the meaning & implications of Sovereignty & its impact on what a country is able to do under International Law
