It’s just awful. I’m fairly stoic with croup because we’ve had to deal with it so many times, but that night was a real dark time for all of us. Fortunately we now have a stash of dexamethasone, thanks to a sensible nurse practitioner.

I have been to hospital with a tiny baby with possible croup and it's terrifying and they see you so fast when their little chests are doing the terrifying sucking thing. We get every damn vaccine we can get our hands on.
