Moving on in my chain of association, what do these six actors have in common? (I think this is a tricky one.) #FourActorFactor
I didn’t solve this one but I’ve got to say this one has been one of favorites!
I suspected that one would be up your alley.
Eric gets my tricky question, and even gives the details of the answer: These actors are all in movie scenes that provide the titles of other unrelated movies. bsky.app/profile/eric...
Louis has got this one: All these actors are playing a character named Michael. bsky.app/profile/loui...
They've all played detectives? (Hamish Macbeth, Mycroft Holmes in the Sherlock Holmes sequel, Arthur Conan Doyle in Arthur and George, Father Brown)
Is Doyle really a detective? I haven’t seen the show. Or, for that matter, is Mycroft a detective? The thing I have in mind is a little more specific, and does actually involve two of the roles you’ve picked out.
Eric got this one, and so did Louis: All these actors have played eponymous protagonists in British provincial ensemble dramas. (Hamish Macbeth, Doc Martin, Kingdom, and Father Brown.) bsky.app/profile/eric...
Inside you there are #FourActorFactor What do these four actors have in common?
Very nice!
Julie’s got this: Four werewolves: the lycanthrope protagonists of The Wolf Man, Teen Wolf, I Was a Teenage Werewolf, and Werewolf by Night. bsky.app/profile/movi...
All of these people live in the afterlife (massive spoilers for the big groundbreaking twist of Spin City).
You had me going for a second there. It’s simpler than that, I promise.
Strangely enough, three out of four of them are people whose Wikipedia pages I've consulted in the last 24 hours. Probably not the answer you're looking for, but now I've looked at Mark Williams' too. Because of that, I know that three out of four were professors in the TV adaptation of Gormenghast.
None of that sounds like a factor for all four actors, though …
Nope, just weird coincidences! One of the wiki visits was your fault, I just realized—Carlyle was in the World is Not Enough, which I was considering revisiting after the last round of FAF.
Now I want you to actually find the thing they’ve got in common, though
They're all Michael
Sure enough!
OK, this is a tricky one. I got 3/4 but honestly wouldn't have gotten the last one without the questions that led into it and actually watching the scene from Horse Feathers, but let me suggest a possibility:
This is precisely what I was going for!
For the sake of honesty, I originally had this one and some qualms about the line not actually having been said, but then I remembered you'd focused on Claude Rains!
That’s it!
they all...sing...in a movie?
Does Vinnie Jones sing in anything? Anyway, I promise the uniting factor is much more specific than that.
