The most underrated Beatles song is easily “For No One.” Written by any other band, it would’ve been an impressive beautiful hit. For them, it’s a great song that never makes it onto any top lists or compilations and I can’t tell you why because it’s as good as anything that does

I always thought of it as a ripoff of the chord progression of CSNY’s “Our House,” but of course that has the order backwards, it’s just how I first experienced them.
