Jesse Signal (and others who will follow) will be constantly stirring up incidents. Your platform will tilt towards becoming nothing but the attacks and responses. People are tired of it. These people, in particular: the people who could not, would not tolerate what Twitter became.
Maybe some business bro is telling you that controversy is what makes a successful social media platform. And yet, all those millions of people who just joined? They were fleeing the fact that every platform has pivoted towards that.
Maybe running a decent platform with decent standards for a userbase who opted to be here because they like a decent community just hasn't really been tried yet. Maybe you could try it.
Or maybe the millions of users who came here and haven't put down roots yet will drift away once they see there is nothing different about BlueSky after all.
Even those of us who have put down roots are drifting away. I didn't leave twitter just to end up with the same BS
