Notice that this is a bill that he signed. You are probably referring to his veto of the 2023 bill. This bill from last year was the result of a compromise. Compromise means that no one gets exactly what they want.

Walz believed that Uber and Lyft were serious when they said that they would leave town if the legislation was passed. That would have left the drivers without employers and customers who could not use cabs without any service. Was it the correct call? I have no idea.

So it was extortion. They believe they have him now. They will do it again. They will use his kindness and caring against him. That is evil. (It may have caused hardship, but someone would have taken the opportunity and filled the void.) I thank you. I understand now.
