I do not think any country is even close in the number of mentally ill compared to the US. How many people do you personally know on a SSRI. Those numbers exploded since 2000. We used to put those people in hospitals for the safety of everyone else, that doesn’t happen anymore so we get this.

Are you assuming that mental health is handled the same way in other countries that it is here?

I’m not sure how it’s handled, but I would bet my last dollar the US has vastly more people with mental health issues perpetuated by the media. 1/2 the population has anxiety and struggles to leave their house. Our dr.s put them on a numbing SSRI which does not fix anything. That is a problem.

A problem according to whom? Does the US have more people with these issues or are we more aware of it?

I believe we have more people with these issues. Our system is set up to facilitate it. Pharmaceutical companies make a lot of money on sickness and almost seems like it is by design. I’ve lost a lot of trust in the elite having our best interest at heart. We are the workers, that’s it.

We see things are we are, not as they are. Thank you for the respectful discussion. Have a day.
