I met with some linear TV folks yesterday. They seem to feel all the late night shows will either disappear or have to be reimagined in a much more cost effective way. My wife works in TV advertising and I can tell you, these shows no longer pull the ad revenue to cover the expenses

Part of the problem is that they are pretty expensive to produce and the advertising market on streaming services (including re-transmission of broadcast networks) is *extremely* fragmented, spread among thousands of advertising targets instead of previously a couple of dozen. It's a changing world.

Yeah but Trump either never watched Star wars or didn't get it. "You can strike me down and I will become more powerful than ever!" You're about to see a resurgence in interest in advertising during these shows just because of the baboon. Gone and shot himself in the foot yet again...
