I'm just saying, if I took that Bama job offer last year - they would have won. They would have done it in appreciation of my presence on campus. And I would have appreciated that.

I did they were lovely people and it was a good spot just couldn't make some things about it work. If anyone is looking and they're hiring, I'd really advocate for you to try to go there. The Dean is outstanding as is the chair.

The one thing about staying at Memphis is that I have political allies and friends in Nashville.... And I didn't have that in Alabama, would have to start over there and those will result in a few interesting opportunities this year.

It actually really was. They offered me everything I could ever want - just some fine details we couldn't get to, unfortunately. Was hopeful to be at a place with the supports my friends at flagships have, and then some. Next time. Again, to anyone interested - apply if they got an opening.
