Possibly. John Trudell talked about how the behavior of colonial violence is learned via its perpetration by another on oneself. When the old cultures, gods, and people of Europe were colonized by the Abrahamic Faiths, they then used those faiths as a justification to replicate the colonial violence

I’m aware of the victim becomes the perpetrator theory and I can’t say I disagree. Looking back they would’ve been better off not letting any of those dinghy’s ashore.
