I wanna start by saying the "Noble Savage" archetype is a historical fiction, but in general our people did live in a much more communal manner, many of our nations skipped the development period of feudalism & capitalism, & advanced directly to what can be classified as pre-industrial socialism,
Political/Economic/Philosopher Karl Marx termed this "primitive socialism" but I feel like that terminology is very dated & rather Eurocentric, even if unintentionally so. When the people arrived, we recognized a distant relative, lost, childlike, in need of help. We paid for that assumption surely,
