People frequently groan when I respond to requests for predictions with "The only thing that I know *for certain* about the future is that it has not happened yet." Maureen Comey's firing from the SDNY after the Sean Combs verdicts but before sentencing shows the folly of confident predictions.
I like predictions from people who will acknowledge if they get them wrong. No biggie, after all, it is a prediction. I consider those who get 50-60% of them correct to be valuable, and yes, EXPERTS. Contrast this with experts who constantly make BAD predictions and retain their "expert status."
Based upon my training and experience as a former AUSA, it is *extremely* unusual for an AUSA who has passed her first three years to be "fired". Ordinarily, the most severe sanction imposed on an experienced AUSA is reassignment to a really unpleasant role, in hopes of forcing resignation.
This is very likely TACO 45 punishing her dad. Although the fact that she prosecuted Epstein and Maxwell seems to somehow cast suspicion on his current fuck-up.
