I wont argue it. If he had fallen, not gotten caught & broken a leg or worse, no one would have thought it a good idea. I know of dogs breaking a leg & the extreme surgicals costs. Many people euthanize dogs when faced with a surgery costs in the tens of thousands for a dog. Not worth the risk.

We had a cat that liked being plucked off a low roof like that. He didn't jump, he just come up to the edge and waited. At first we thought it was just us projecting, but he kept on doing it and after a while we realised he was actually having a great time.
