What sort of bird? Kite?
What sort of bird? Kite?
Looks like a Harris Hawk
π
Is that a goshawk?
Harris hawk, I think. Friendly and hunts in co-operation. Goshawks are manic and unreliable.
Awesome!!!!!!
Vintage internet. Never seen this bef... Oh wait.
Wicked.
π
And now, this
Can you imagine the amount of trust that takes? That poor bird, what if those women hadn't brushed their teeth yet.
Now that's worth waiting for!!!
Did they know it had large talons?
So beautiful. ππ

Iβm all about the joy on these young ladies faces. Thatβs what animals do.

Why get married when you have birds.
Beautiful π
Wow!!!!
Harris hawk, known for hunting in packs and flying through brush and trees to get their prey. They have great flying skills. And the women didn't even flinch.
Well, there was some nervous giggling going on.... Understandably, of course!
'Incoming' of the best kind!
Wow
Joy!!!!π€©π«ΆπΌ
Amazing control of wings. Birds are truly magnificent.
I don't see how they stood so still.
Did you see how both women closed their eyes just before the bird came through? They must have been really focusing on staying still.
I would have lost it!
Yes I seen that
Nice! All animals and birds have Consciousness.
I was really hoping it'd catch someone's face but nope. π’
Wow
Surprised you don't post more protest videos. Plenty of animals would be depicted.
Very cool.

Completely unbothered by those two women in the way.
Very cool , awesome trust
Just amazing!
π«‘ Pah! Tom Cruise could have done the same! Without wings! Blindfolded! Holding his breath! Looking concerned! And ruuuuuunning!π₯³
Wow!
There was a flyer in the First World War, called Armstrong. He was probably the best pilot ever of the Sopwith Camel. One day while flying, he saw a Camel wheeled out of a line of them. For fun, he flew through the gap. For some reason, I just thought of him.. π
Any links?

WOW!
I don't know if I would be that brave. π
I sure hope I get to come back as a bird in my next life. If I could fly like that I would never come down to Earth again. What bliss.

Perfect hunter.
That is so awesome, and brave!
Totally worth the wait.
Wow!
WOW
I could not have stood still.
Wow! How did you train him to do that? Birds amaze me, particularly the hunters. I wonder if owls could be trained? Pigeons were used in both World Wars to carry messages.
Yes, owls are also trained. Went to a falconry display that included a Eurasian eagle owl (Aquila chrysaetos, largest owl species). This one was not impressed with being there so took the long way back to the falconer's glove directly over the audience, deliberately tapping a few with their wings.
I would have been thrilled! My grandfather owned a farm, complete with a huge owl that perched in the rafters of the tractor shed. Iβd stand very still and just watch him. There seemed to be magic for a moment.
Talk about precision flying!
Not as impressive as this, but there was a big chain link fence at work, and I used to watch small birds zoom through it at speed, folding their wings to fit through the openings.
Yet your example shows the same focus and precision evidenced in this clip. That raptor was born with it, obv. Beauty.
THAT is some precision aviation right there!
I won't get tired of seeing this amazing performance no matter how old.
Stunningly beautiful β€οΈ
Wow!
Now that is AWESOME
π₯° perfect!
Yikes
Wow, olympic-level wing-tucking.
How awesome was that?!?
'cuse me.
Wowza!
π Respect for the courage of the two pretty ones! Even Superman couldnβt do that without getting stuck in a bottleneck.f the two pretty ones! π
Amazing!!!
Hey @arypigliate.bsky.social , is this safe ?
Yes, but no. I hate this video, every person on web tag me on this since 2015. This video show how stupid are falconry newbies because no skills needed to do that, but it is dangerous for several reasons: just a blow of wind to have a not nice impact on your face.
...or worse, the bird protecting himself by using his claws to soften the impact.
Exatly. You're smart.
If I were a bird I'd do the same thing.
Amazing!!π€©
What did the brilliant π¦π¦ parrot say π¦π¦ Bar - ak Bar - ak Barack Obama Barack Obama π Have a happy day π
Red Shouldered Hawk
When I'm late feeding my free flight budgies....
They aren't even a minor obstacle for the bird. They might as well not even be there, as far as that bird is concerned. Just sheer aerobatic artistry.
Amazing π l love π¦
That's amazing!
Incredible βββ
Very beautiful post and skill. Ty.
Really cool π
