Psittacosisis is carried by psittacines, members of the parrot family macaws, parakeets etc. But yes, transmitting disease is a good reason to not kiss or breathe deeply around a wild parrot or a ... wild anything.

I'm conflicted. I've never seen an owl that's this cute. It's absolutely adorable. But it's feet are tied to the table. Why is it not free? Is it getting medical care? Is it being studied before being released? Has someone taken a wild bird & made it their captive pet? I need more information.
