I watched the penguin balance the bubble at the end of his break and walk with it...but as he did this I took a close look at the beautiful color and design of his coat...he's gorgeous!

Trapped within painted walls. Their bubble Enrichment is for people’s entertainment behind the smoked glass. Adults. One them was really good with balancing his bubble. I shouldn’t feel bad for other sentient beings, huh? Just me then.🇨🇦🕊️

First thing I noticed too, the horrible environment they were in.

It's an interesting moral question. The penguins live longer in captivity. Don't have to worry about being torn apart by a leopard seal. Are always well fed with clean water and a perfectly climate controlled environment. And outdoor access in good weather. But is that a fair trade for captivity.

Robert you lost me at interesting. Obviously you think you can appreciate captive longevity? It’s always about MONEY. Try thinking globally & domestically. Maybe do the math? How many facilities actually ‘try’ to provide “quality” of life. At your best, an inane point of view. Boring & Predictable🇨🇦

Pretty much all of them. At least in the US and Europe are held to a high standard of naturalistic environments and enrichment. They also participate in programs for breeding endangered species and a portion of all ticket prices go to conservation efforts. Because the public demands it.
