This year we lost 2 dogs to cancer. One was 11 and one was 12. Our Scout died last week, Dahlia died April 5. We are all so broken hearted. This is the first time in my life I haven't had a dog. We will get another one after we're done grieving. They were like our kids. 😥

So sorry to hear that. We lost our 12yr old beagle (Hettie) a few months ago. We were devastated & decided to wait before getting another dog. We lasted 9 wks.. We were miserable without one. We got a puppy & tbh it's the best thing we could have done. He has brought joy back into the house. ❤️

Oh, I'm so sorry. Thank you. We are trying to wait until Christmas. We had an old beagle show up about 10 years ago. He came out of our woods. We never found his owner. We let him stay and named him Willy Nelson. He howled all the time but he was so sweet. I love the gentle nature of a beagle.

Beagles are great dogs, aren't they? That one was obviously meant to be with you! We had to go for something completely different this time so that we wouldn't keep comparing it & expecting it to be like Hettie. We found a Aussie Labradoodle & fell in love all over again.Still miss that beagle howl.
