I had a herding dog once who used to carefully collect all the shoes in the house and sort them into piles by left/right and other categories I couldn't quite figure out. He'd put them back in the same piles if you messed them up.

Hilarious! I just have a problem with the puppy’s mama stealing a shoe & taking it to Bubbles to play with. She’s a great babysitter for me, but she doesn’t want to use designated shoes that are already tore up. 😏

Excellent idea I had forgotten about that. It’s been a long time since I had a puppy.

Before I re-discovered it, my 1 yo Shar-pei ('scimitar teeth'!) nearly gnawed my desk to the ground. He also thought gnawing on my best suede shoes was a swell idea - with my feet inside. Afterwards - he ignored everything that wasn't his. Easy-peasy!

I’m going on Amazon and getting me some ASAP. Well, maybe I’ll check tractor supply in town first because they do have quite a selection. I’m sure bitter apple is there but what price? That’s always the issue nowadays. Thanks for that hearty laugh! Sharpei are adorable!

Tractor Supply is lots of fun - they sell the Salmon dog fud that my Boy likes, at a reasonable price. Betcha a 4oz spray of bitter apple won't be above $5. (The last straw was having my Boy savor the suede-flavored feets - he was very surPRISED!)

I have suede moccasins that are expensive but I never wear them. I want to, but I can’t. Maybe with the bitter apple this winter my toes will be nice & toasty. I’ll take bubbles to tractor supply & let her ride on the stack of 50 lb bags of feed. She won’t be a puppy much longer. Pitbulls grow fast!

Pitbulls REQUIRE their pibbels be good and thoughtful and kind. NO SLACKING! Bubbles is depending on you.

If you have a Springer Spaniel, you should alwys have a back-up pair of flip-flops. My aunt had one, and whenever I visited we would play fetch around the pole barn. The dog would wait until the ball hit thw roof and she knew by the sound if the ball was coming back or going over to the far side.
