The first time we brought our little Zoe to the vet he said, “I guess her heart is fine - I can’t really tell because she’s purring so loudly!”
The first time we brought our little Zoe to the vet he said, “I guess her heart is fine - I can’t really tell because she’s purring so loudly!”
😅❤️
Won't be that happy when he leaves or the next time.
So excited to meet all these new friends!
🥰
🥹 Oh my goodness… look at the cutest little puppy! 🥰
After the first visit, my Welsh Border Collie would sit still on the table. She knew where they would put the thermometer... 🫣😏
Awww. Veterinarians aren't bad. They want to help. Lucky dog, to have such caring humans!
Careless! Slippery table with excited pup running around. No safeguards to protect against falling off the table
Thanks for the smiles 🥰
We used to have a very friendly dog except when he went to the vet... it got so bad we had to muzzle him in the parking lot and carry him in (80lbs).... in the waiting room he could cower against the wall looking for a way to escape. If he needed a booster they would do it while he was in the car...
I know someone whose cat is so big and strong that the vet prescribed a special sedative and said "give this to him before he comes in or we can't catch him long enough to do anything."
That's for sure
😍
Awe so cute 🥰
Such a cutie. I finally have a did that’s like this when taken to the vet. She’s 8 years old and has never taught it.
Boy, didn’t check my post before I posted it. Gotta do better. I’m sorry.
🥰🥰🥰
That's the cutest fucking dog I've seen all week
That tail is going to fly off.
The Betrayal
Thank you.❤️
He’ll soon figure it out
Wiggle butt.
Obviously not taken his temperature yet
Yeah my wee girl never forgave them for that.
Our cat started planting her bum firmly on the table and cowering in subsequent vet visits. And doing that thing where small animals can suddenly weigh five tonnes when they feel the need. Poor girl.
All this reminds me of how baffled & impressed I am by my barely-six-pound calico cat. She was born under my shed, technically feral for the first almost-two-years of her life. She only really knows my family. So, before every vet visit, I expect she's gonna kill someone. But she's always polite.
Not happy. Not excited to go back. Probably upset at the temperature being taken, blood work, etc. But the next time, she's always exactly as polite as the previous time. This quote-unquote "former feral cat" is more civilized than at least 90 percent of people I've met.
Ours was a little feral too, a farm kitten. She hates people, other animals, Tuesdays - but to be fair to her, she's very well-behaved at the vet's. I mean, I can't really blame her for the bum thing, no-one would appreciate a strange primate shoving something up there 😆
Exactly. That's why I'm so baffled, every time that she decides NOT to go full claws-to-the-face on the whole building. Despite being only about six pounds and barely an adult, none of the other feral cats could best her, in a physical fight. She's highly aggressive. But she gives the vets a pass.
She's approaching 17 years old now, and only just barely showing signs of age. Like, just some loss of muscle mass and maybe a touch of creaky joints. I can only hope I'm half as spry, when I'm about 84.
My 3.5 year old kittens had their first vet visit. The girl cat expressed violation and distain worthy of a dowager duchess.
🥰
Definitely. They learn pretty quickly that nothing good ever happens there.
Mine was like that at the vet... until they took her temperature.
Omg, cuteness circuits blown!
He so excite!!!
Boopadoo
He’s not actually excited to be there - in fact it’s the total opposite. Dogs are the absolute masters of manipulating humans, almost instantly learning what behaviours and expressions will illicit which responses. Puppies learn how to act “cute” very quickly. - this sort of behaviour is important
In a pack, and all dogs inherently understand physical cues that show submission etc. This puppy has already learned that humans respond well to this kind of behaviour. It’s in an unsure situation, so is turning on its “charm” because it’s something that humans respond well to.
So young … so much to learn
Our lad was not very bright. He used to wag his tail and look very happy to enter the vets shop. It's only when he saw the bench that he realised where he was and his tail went down.
Stop being so cute!
Too cute!
That is one ecstatic puppy!
Next visit:
Don't let fall off the table...
Many years ago I had a little Poodle who would happy scream when we got to the Groomer or Vet's office. It was like she was saying "Hey everybody, I'm here!" She was otherwise a normal little dog.😀
Maybe anxiety? You know like how we have people who do nervous giggles.
Possible. She seemed sincerely happy. We had the same Vet and Groomer her whole Life.
What a wiggle butt! ❤️
Such great energy!
Little does he know what awaits him
Adorable
🤗😊🩷
That’s dog for “please don’t kill me!”
I'd love to see the second visit video. 🤔😇
🙂
So precious. ❤️
Cute puppeh!
Sooooo cute, thanks
Wiggle butt!
Astounding puppy cuteness! Which reminds me I have to call the vet and get Lucy her shots. She's not as scared as she looks.
I dunno, our dogs are old and have both been to the vet for... less than pleasant procedures and surgeries, and this is how they act no matter what. I swear they like the vet and the groomer better than anybody else.
I think they know in their own way the person there is not there to harm them but to help them.
Sure, and also all the treats.
ITS A TRAP
🐾💙
Last time you’ll see him happy at the vet.
❤️
aw. c'mon. he's playin' ya!! cozying up so you don't hurt him.
To young to know better...We have a lot of them in the US!
WIGGLEBUTT!!!!!
Poor guy doesn’t know what he’s in for.
Smile inducing
Seeing his right paw, I doubt it's the first visit.
I had a cat that would just lay down on the exam table like”do whatever you have to do.” I have one now that is so easy going, not much bothers him,but take him to the vet and he turns into a hissing, growling Tasmanian Devil. 🤣
Such an innocent little heart! Having his/her temperature is going to be a rude awakening 😳😳
It's Mr. Wigglebutt!
Oh, you sweet summer child 😭
Maybe not. My cat absolutely adores his vet.
I wish I had the lil’ guy’s energy. 😁
So sweet
“LOVE ME!”
Aww 🥰 so cute
Hold him so he doesn’t fall
I took 14 lab puppies in for their 1st shots. 2 at time of course. Stupid vet turned around to get needle & my pup fell off the table while I was watching the other pup. Never take a hand of an animal while they r on a table..like a baby who doesn't know better! Common sense!!
Excited wiggles and still not falling off the table.
Pre temperature check and shots for sure, lol
So much joy!
He is so beautiful 😍
Find joy in simple things.
Cute
That’s for sure. I hope he’s okay. 🥰
Oh how I needed that laugh today!
Awww. Looks like Sissy
My dog, Lexie, loves the vet. She's had multiple bad things happen in the back where I can't go but she still loves them. She is a rescue who was never cared for as a very young puppy and just loves being cared for.
@stevebasnett.bsky.social my cat is so scared!
*nods at puppy* "I'll have what he's having." Animals learn quickly to identify any indicator of a trip to the vet, even though most of the time it's to make them feel better. But do any of us really like going to the hospital?
I do love them 🤣They are bastions of life and their staff life guarantors. I admire hospital staff whatever their function. I feel sad when reports say they're experiencing more abuse. I don't leave without saying thank you or even buy some toffee. Some hospitans don't accept flowers.
My hospice cat has issues with her bladder and when she has wee issues she looks me like you're not taking my anywhere you pick!
Haha. She knows.
Looks at me I keep eating words :D
😄
I thing it's enough to think the word it will appear magically
😆 If you're in tune with your audience (me here in this case) then you don't need most of the words most of the time. I'll just know what you mean.
Oh yes - well said, Nestor. I have always had huge respect for medicine, medical workers, the NHS and equivalents in many countries. But that doesn't mean I like going into hospitals, whatever the reason. Yep, I always thank those who've taken care of me too.
I do know people who are, but when I ask why they can't explain. It's just a feeling, right? Like every country has a bloody soap opera at a hospital. Perhaps they dramatise too much? But you haven't watched any not even the Golden Girls???? 😱
For me, I've been in hospitals a lot, and always for a bad reason - me or someone else. Ha, the Golden Girls ain't no soap opera. And I've watched (and used to love when I was young) Soap - the American comedy piss take of soap operas - which I think had at least Golden Girl actor in it.
Which one you're talking about? Hot in Cleveland? I know Betty White cast there
This is the American comedy show Soap - I think Richard Mulligan (on the right) was in Golden Girls as well? Billy Crystal was in Soap too.
Waggy-tail joy☺️
❤️❤️❤️
so many people not enough tails 🥰
he'll not be like next time for the yearly injection
So wiggly!
Oh my gosh!!! So, so, so adorable!!! 🥰
Omg! CUTEST PUPPY ALERT!!!!
So cute! I think we all need to see this clip considering all the other awful news we are inundated with daily!
My dog loved the vets, from the first time, to the last, he loved them and always got over excited.
How adorable 😍
💙🫶
😍 Cuteness overload
My dog does the exact dance but at the front door before entering the office.
Tbh, our 2 year old vizsla loves his vet so much (she's so good with him), that when he's called in, he runs into her room and leaps onto her hydraulic table, then sits to attention, tail wagging.😀
💞
The answer to what if cuteness was an action?
Thinks he's there to get "tutored."
🩷🩷
I want that puppy! 🐾💙❤️🐾
🤣🤣🤣🥰
Goodness, what a cutie!
Poor baby thinks he’s in a fun place….
I would steal that doggy!!!!! so damn cute
😍😍😍
Very cute
Awww 🥰
Our dogs ♥️’d going to the vet so much they were an embarrassment to dogs everywhere. One time before we got our 2nd pup had to pop in to pick up an Rx for my senior cat, so I left Phoebe in the car while I ran in and she sat in the driver’s seat and honked the horn until I went and got her. 🥰
Little buddy happy.
Awwww! So adorable!🥰
He is in the right spot for when he wiggles himself right off the counter. Silly baby.
I could watch this all day
OMG so much cuteness.
Love that wiggly little tush!
Official case of the wiggles...🤣🤗
"Those needles are for some other dog, right?"
No my lad Now off with youre nads
He's so cute!
Only a bad day if you make it one.
🤣🥰
be gentle
😍😍😍😘
So cute!
"Mom said we're gonna get Tutored....whatever that is."
Awwww cuteieeee♥️
Our Cat hated the Vets.
There is nothing quite like the fragrance of a puppy's furry head. It's pure love.
To be young again
'Whatever that is' 🤪
He'll learn. In the 1980s I had a dog that was terrified of the vet's. One day she is barely holding it together and there is a goat on a leash waiting to see the vet. Poor girl had never seen a goat and completely lost it. "What fresh hell is this???"
Ommmmyyygaaawddcuuute
Puppy wiggles!!!
When I get that excited sometimes I pee. Just a little.
Wiggle butt!
This is the type of content that makes me happy I still have social media
My 4 yo labradoodle LOVES the vets.
My 16 yo beagle mix does too. Almost weirdly so
I had a Tibetan Terrier who loved the vet. Didn't care about shots and the rest, loved seeing him and getting pets and treats and seeing other beautiful beasts in the waiting room. Vet cried his eyes out when we had to put him down.
Same here. Our chocolate lab Rufus loved the vet and was his first new patient when he took over the practice from his mentor. 14 years later he was there when we said goodbye. His longest living patient at that time in 2021. Allergies, bee stings, limps and tumors. Great vet.
Mine was incredibly healthy (surprisingly, especially since we didn't know chocolate could harm dogs and he ate loads of it), only went for well visits until he was paralysed. Groomers basically shaved him, he was scared by thunder, got out of his collar, and was hit by a bus.
Oh I’m so sorry. I lost a pup years ago to a car. It’s devastating.
On a very different note, I must say your profile pic is fantastic!
LOL thanks. I saw that book up at a Christmas market in NYC by my office.
I need to find it now, looks like great reading. Seems like a few volumes need to be added.
Losing a dog is always so difficult. He still lived for a couple of years, and the particular vet who had to do it had only known him after it happened (we'd moved countries). He was so joyful even injured. But kidney failure had him in severe pain, so it was time.
“Look everybody I’m at the vet to get ‘tutored’ my owner says”
Süßer, kleiner Hund 🐕!
🤣🤣❤️❤️
poor little guy he’s going to be so disillusioned 😭😭😭
