Our donkey, the fearless guardian of horses "Dawn Kay," doesn't seem to play at all. We purchased her as an adult & think she suffered abuse/neglect. She's more social now & likes people, but she doesn't play. 😪 Maybe too grown up? Or just never learned?

How frustrating! The donkey wants to grab it with its legs. The brain-wiring for grasping is in there, but the donkey's physiology goes against it. It's really loving it though. Many mammals and birds will play if given the chance.
