Oh, yes! I have my once in a lifetime dog right now. Bella. She loves me more than anyone or anything on this earth including my husband, kids, parents and siblings. 🤣

My Bella. She was almost 15 when she passed in September 2019. She was the absolute best. She was there through my 1st yrs after divorce, undergrad @42, law school @49, and 'helped' me study for the bar. She passed 2 wks before bar results. I know she held on until I was ready. I miss her every day

Ours declined to leave my car parked in front of the house after the walk, because I took the kids to the movie theater. Declined to eat or drink. So now I don’t go anywhere without him.

My daughter just adopted this 19 year old half chihuahua and half Chinese crested. His name is Prince. He just had one of his eyes removed. She has 4 other small ones too that she’s rescued.

I intentionally hide when he's engaged at the dog park. Watching behind a tree I see the moment he discovers I'm not in sight anymore. I let him get nervous then whistle or pop out and then.... same reaction....he lives to be my pal. And he is.

Every time I walk my Labrador we have a ritual hide and seek game where I hide and he has to find me mind you this week he walked off and hid in a bush waiting for me to find him. He only went a couple of yards and was standing behind the bush peeking out at me waiting for me to say something.

That’s so cute. My Lab will only play hide & seek when we’re playing grab & go with his toys. Otherwise he’s like “you know I can smell where you are, right?”

Haha! I played the same game with my 2 border collies. A week later I watched them from the house while they played the same hide n seek game with one another. What a great memory! 🙂

My dog loses me in our house...in our very very small house. In his defense...he is small, and has dementia and cancer...and basically, has always been a confused doggy. But when he finds me, same look.. 🥰

My boy did that too before we lost him. He was blind and deaf. We’d either carry him everywhere or I’d shine my phone flashlight at him and he’d follow it. I guess he could see that much. Give him an extra snackie and smooch for me, from someone still in mourning. 💔

Love this. We were adopted by a Shepsky with poor recall. Our trainer had us go to the beach and get “lost”. The look one his face when he found us was everything. Solved his recall problem and he still looks at us that when when he comes back❤️
