Unfortunately they also want to remove Article 6; the right to a fair and independent public hearing within a reasonable timeframe

Potentially yes, but people would still have the right to a fair hearing under domestic law, not just under the ECHR

They wouldn’t be doing it if they didn’t think it would have a major impact. It will be interesting to see how it works out, because once you take away one rights for certain sections of a society, it’s the thin end of the wedge.
