Those instances are brought about through making the enrollment process more difficult, resulting in some past enrollees being unable to complete the forms and losing their Healthcare. or reductions in Medicaid payments to hospitals are simply cuts/reductions in payments. Not meant to combat fraud.
And the adding of work requirements is largely an exercise in making the SNAP & Medicaid programs look more forceful or stringent on paper, since the overwhelming majority of recipients in both programs are already employed. Not waste, fraud or abuse.
And the tax cuts ... significant cuts for the highest income earners, with decreasing %s of cuts as the income level drops. To the point where, under some models, lowest earners end up with a tax increase. Whatever the case, the cuts cause a huge increase in the amount of debt the nation is holding.
The testimony in Congress by ?? Said that the lowest incomes < $15k will see a 74% INCREASE in their taxes over the next 10 yrs!!!!
Ultimately, the American people were sold 900+ pages of nonsense. And I just skimmed some of the most notable elements of the bill. in the end each lawmaker must face the reality put forward, and make every effort to mitigate the direct effects of the bill on the legislation.
