The only realistic 2 state solution is: Israel controls ALL of the west bank and whole of Israel and Egypt either acquires the Gaza strip or, Gaza becomes Palestine.
Those in power don't want peace, and innocent people are stuck in the middle, suffering and dying. It's so tragic.

Israel’s current actions show that Bibi wants to sabotage the whole thing. Hey, Bibi - how many Palestinians do you have to kill to offset the death of one Israeli? And does he not realize that his actions are the best possible recruiting tool for Hamas?
Let's hope both sides stick to the plan and agreement.Hard to feel it won't go tits up at some stage,given the blatant propaganda and bad actors involved. One things for sure,If it doesn't end with a two state solution, it'll have truly been a wasted opportunity.

I too share the relief…however it dampened by the promise of extreme chaos and instability from the incoming U.S. administration. It’s going to be a long 4 years.
Forgive me for my cynicism, but no ceasefire or peace agreement thus far has been respected by Israel.
The imminent threat to their security persists in the form of Hamas. I don’t see any viable path to a 2 state solution in the aftermath of terrorism in the foreseeable future.
The ruling Likud party has made it clear that they will not allow a two-state solution of any kind if that second state is located between the Jordan Valley and the Med.... I mean, it's been their official position since 1999.
It ain't over 'till the fat lady sings. And Trump can easily (probably will) screw it up somehow. So I am not placing that much hope in it.
