Think you need a second revolution quick!
This is one of @nicolewallace.bsky.social best Podcasts from a list of great podcasts she’s done. A must listen or watch
No thanks. Wallace was Sarah Palin’s handler as assistant campaign manager. Nichole was every bit ugly as any MAGA back then. After losing the election Maddow welcomed her to MSNBC. I left as a viewer. Never looked back. Pay anyone enough & they’ll be reasonable.
. Lincoln's quote is reminiscent of the Commandments in Animal Farm, reduced from 7 to "All Animals Are Equal, Some Are More Equal Than Others." 2. Heroism is not perfection bc we live in a FALLEN WORLD. The pursuit of perfection often leads to cynicism and, ultimately, dystopianism.
Instead, we recognize this fallen world and attempt to achieve heroic virtue = ordinary people doing extraordinary things, like the Saints. We need Mr. Burns to speak on that Lincoln quote. We need Ms. Wallace to amplify it on her excellent weekly show. @nicollewallace.bsky.social

@kenlburns.bsky.social is a wonderful human. Truly worthy of your “best people” title.
Ken Burns: "I told Maureen Dowd"... Oh for Christ sake!
That was my reaction! 😂 🤦♂️
MSNBC is dead to me. Their abandonment of their brightest talents, like Mehedi Hassan sounded the death knoll. Nicole Wallace was a tool of the Republican party for years, she bears no small ammount of blame for where we find ourselves today.
After I read Ken’s observation that “tensions felt today mirror tensions that gave birth to our nation”, I couldn’t help but wonder what happened to the colonists who sided with the British during the Revolutionary War? Maybe Magas are descended from them!
His documentaries on specifically the civil war and the roosevelts are incredible. I've watched multiple times.
Nicolle, love your podcasts! It was wonderful to watch the videos with the brilliant Melissa Murray, our beloved Rachel Maddow, and Ken Burns in the Labor Day broadcast on MSNBC. Seeing a less formal, more relaxed side of both Melissa and Rachel was a treat. They are both the best people.
Ken Burns is absolutely a very best person. I have watched and rewatched his brilliant and historic documentaries on PBS. Just watched The Roosevelt: An Intimate History for at least the 4th time.
I didn't see this one, but I just saw on MSNBC, "the best people "with Melissa Murray, and then Rachel Maddow. These free flowing deep dives, with such great insights, humor and sober discussions are so great. Hope lives in 'together!!'
Thank you for the amazing opportunity to hear your conversation with Ken Burns. He is a American treasure along with his crew that create his documentaries shown on PBS. What you both talked about is so important at this time. Absolutely amazing!
Bravo!
The Lincoln quote was amazing. Please require it.
