I think it was a move to keep her quiet but also make it easier for an accident to occur if she keeps talking. My guess is they feel this move is a win-win for them.

She will be pardoned this Friday and on a plane out of here first to Argentina then to the Middle East beyond the reach of our Courts and Congress and lawsuits from survivors, I would bet she already signed an NDA. Look for a lot of chaos this week to keep the media busy.
