Here’s your fast scouting report (sorry, was eating wings or would have responded quicker): starting rotation and closer are excellent, would hold up vs any team is MLB. Bullpen is decent but can be vulnerable. (continued)

Raleigh is having an all-timer of a season and will reliably drive in runs. Julio is streaky but always a threat. They brought back Eugenio Suarez because their offense was subpar; he has yet to deliver in a big way. Rest of the offense is serviceable but won’t scare you. (continued)
Manager is new — Dan Wilson, former M’s catcher who moved from the broadcast booth to manager when Scott Servais was fired last year. I do see some discontentment among fans for his game management, so that could be a vulnerability too. /fin
One last one: the kid at 2B is good. Really good. Got called up earlier this year and has consistently produced offensively and defensively. And he had one of the most fun videos you’ll see: www.instagram.com/reel/DKYEKDE...
Wow…thx. I feel more than prepared for the series with them on Mon. Of course I was aware of Raleigh and Suarez but not so much everyone else. Sounds like they have some issues like all teams do. Looking forward to some good games next week.
Saw them play in 2 of the 3 games here last year, and will get there again next year. 🙂 Also I’m a former small-fry sportswriter so I’ve done this a few times! The bar I’m at changed all the channels to Chiefs-Seahawks, so that’s my cue to leave. (I cheer for the M’s. Seahawks? Hell no, not ever.)
Well done, sir. Well done 🫡
