Yes people are voting for *new, fresh* candidates. Yes Trump is very unpopular. It's also important to ask why our Congressional leadership has been AWOL. No visible prep, strategy, messaging or optics. Leaves govs, rogue Dems, and new Dems doing the heavy lifting. We *should* be discussing this.
What "prep" should they have had for a fascist takeover? I have been paying close attention all along and I have no problems with the way Dem leadership has handled things. I get the info from them, not the biased media.
Their job is to legislate. House Minority Ldr Jefferies created a rapid response task force and litigation working group they are doing some incredible work.Senate Minority Ldr Shumer helped remove some of the worst of the ugly bill. Senator Shumer kept the courts open, is blocking 100s of noms.
Their job is to lead. Some legislative / litigative, appreciate you pointing that out. But when a lawless, violent coup is upon us, leading also means giving voice, guidance, and inspiration to the people. That requires visibility. More Green, Lewis, AOC, Talarico, Pritzker, Sanders, Warren, Bass.
Their job is to lead their colleagues in the House and Senate - not to lead you. You didn't elect or appoint them to those roles and have no voice in that decision. Maybe you could spend some time learning about the roles before being loud and wrong even after being corrected.
So leadership is defined as whatever you say it is, even though it is a role you clearly know next to nothing about. You are another sound byte grabber, like many of the people you laud who have actually done nothing.
