I HATE when people compare AI to other advancements that people resisted to at first like computers or the internet. Both of those enhanced our lives, they made the mundane, passionless stuff easier. AI is NOT that, it’s trying to replace the creatives, the people with passion, they are not the same

the article also says her AI film company will be making a documentary about Carl Sagan that will use AI to “restore and tweak archival footage” which sounds like a complete nightmare. but who amongst us hasn’t longed for a Carl Sagan with a melted face and 7 fingers?
