How do you go all the way to “banning guns” from my assertion that weapons of war should be banned? That’s the problem! I OWN A DAMNED GUN!

Anything with a pointy thing coming out at a considerable velocity is, or can become, a weapon of war. Therexs just too much overlap to define the genre inclusively.

I think a problem we run into is that most of the 2A crowd believes gun control is a slippery slope, and thus refuses to engage. Then we get people who don’t understand firearms trying to regulate them, and the results are ineffective. Their hearts are in the right place, but that’s not enough.
