Whenever I see a post from someone I follow that I do not understand, it is nearly always sport. What's your go-to "this is a foreign language" posting theme?

There’s a lot of IT jokes I don’t get. Like, about 1/5 of xkcd cartoons leave me scratching my head. Not that it bothers me. Oh, and some videogame posts…I’ve hardly played any in the last 20 years—none of the real system-straining games for sure.
Sports is a big one for me too. I'm not super interested in it, and don't know much about any sports. Cars would be another, but I don't really follow any car aficionados.
Skincare and K-pop. I am at peace with this, the posters seem to be having a good time.
I see a fair amount of wrestling and k-pop related posts that I do not understand! Those are probably my biggest ones
Football (either one, really), computer programming, stuff rich people do.
I always think I know a thing or two about philosophy, until I see a philosopher making a joke.
I’m regularly confused by people who ask for, or offer, work for freelancers, without mentioning the industry. I follow people in at least five different fields that have freelance work. Do these people only follow people in their own industry and presume everyone else does the same?
Why would anyone do that here in the USA, the country we all live in?
Alasdair I am attempting to eat porrige and I would prefer it on my mouth not my keyboard please i beg
New Hampshire porridge?
Boston porridge, go red sox. Surely everyone is in boston like me?
Warhammer
Wrestling and Top of the Pops #TOTP Got a few friends here who regularly live post it. Delightfully random.
I do see that hashtag from time to time! I didn't know it was still on I thought somehow they were watching repeats!!
We are. It’s the bbc4 repeats. We’re up to 98 now
PS you are now my rosetta bluesky stone of totp
AHH that makes much mor esense of the posts I've been seeing, thank you!
As sport is so expected for me to not understand (this is my life setting for it) I'm gonna add Strictly. I don't hate it, didn't have circumstances to watch at first, so it got left behind. People will suddenly say 'YES Jamie knows how to SHAKE IT' & it takes me a while to realise the series is on
Z-rate celebrity shenanigans. Who said what to whom. Who posted nudies etc. No clue what's going on there.
Apart from the ones that have been featured or covered in an animated film that I have watched with my son, any reference to a Taylor Swift song may as well be in Esperanto.
Everything may as well be in Esperanto.
No matter how much I learn, there are always levels of anime culture which sound like sublime, transcendent gobbledygook
…sport.
birders
Seconded
Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, music post 2008, reality tv / influencers / tik tok…!!!
Also sport. It’s gotten so bad that I’ve started muting entire sports terms.
I mute people who turn up on my feed talking only about sport.
Finance.
Everything baseball related ( eyes glaze over , not a language I am interested in learning) and gaming ( now this sounds fun and would be nice to learn ,a tad too nice as I would probably get addicted ,so better not)
So with you on gaming. I want to know...but do I REALLY want to know? I would never leave the house again....
Intriguing yet scary
Japanese story structures.
I've def had to google a few things in relation to that!
Economics. I really want to understand things and I often ask for ‘explanations that a five year old could understand’ but it generally doesn’t help. I tend to get the same words back, just in a different order.
Gaming. I gather it has evolved somewhat since I played Cosmic War Toads on a Spectrum in 1988 but it's a foreign land to me.
Gaming is one of those things I lurk on the fringes of, too scared to play because I know I would never leave the house again....and I get the "what language are you speaking" thing re games from kids at events sometimes. I need to learn!
I'm never exposed to it really beyond the odd tv advert and seeing it mentioned on here. I'm very pleased for everyone and I love nerdisms but I imagine me talking about breeding bird surveys sounds as foreign to other people as gaming does to me.
I wonder what my spoken foreign language is...maybe children's books/publishing?
It's one of the things I like about social media feeds tbh. Love seeing people enthuse (and beef) about stuff I know nothing about. If that doesn't sound weird.
No I get it! It's a lovely reminder that the world is not one world but worlds!
Absolutely. Also no pressure for me to have an opinion on it!
That is blissful, isn't it?
Foreign language posts. Can never understand them.
NO DAVID BAD DAVID GO TO YOUR ROOM
Literal foreign languages: German, French.
Or, if I misunderstood the brief: sport, like you.
