They speak on the phone a lot, according to Trump himself. The only reason they are meeting face to face is so they be alone with just an interpreter and Putin can give him his instructions.

I don’t believe that they speak to each other that often because if they did, Putin would be giving some tea…… good old Trump’s gotten too big for his britches
