If he succeeds, then credit where it’s due, but Pritzker is doing more material good with less fanfare, because he is actually trying to help rather than drum up support for his stalking horse candidacy in 2028.

Newsom put up absolutely no resistance to the federal occupation of Los Angeles. Pritzker has promised to do so if Trump tries that shit in Chicago. We will see if he carries through, but he already sheltered Texas Democrats in the face of federal threats, so I have more faith in him.

Sure but practically speaking, Newsom at least has the jump on Pritzker in terms of tangible pushback - I hope he isn't the strongest bc that would imply immense failure But putting the gerrymandering fight to the ballot is really the first actual thing someone has tried
