The crux of all our problems is the wealth consolidation. News, media, food system, insurance, elections, all of it. Where is the media that wants to tell that story?

Truly. Blaming individual reporters is unfair. They cannot control what the owners/publishers will allow. The days of solid journalism ethics holding up the fourth estate are long gone, eroded by televised propaganda masquerading as news.
I got into an argument with Eugene Daniels a year ago when he went after Biden unfairly. I asked him why he would say what he did and he told me that was his assignment. He said he didn't have a choice.
What you’re saying is the results of what billionaire ownership of the media has produced. And you can apply the same methodology to other industries.
idk that's like saying elected dems can't control what the majority party does so they share no blame, or the national guard can't control unlawful orders so they share no blame, etc. all of us are in an unprecedented position to make really hard choices right now, to include abandoning careers.
Absolutely agree we all have the capacity to choose our actions. Elected officials take an oath to honor the constitution. Real journalists still honor a code of ethics. Also as a reporter, I wrote stories. Editors edited. I didn’t choose what got published, the editors and publisher did.
Aren’t those monopolies? Don’t we have anti trust laws any more?
