What I like most about this story is that this guy did the James Watt stuff while James Watt was still in nappies, but he also did it without being an absolute cunt. What a fascinating life!

Lovely article by @philmellows.bsky.social . It took me back to days in London in the 1980s when cask beer pub choices were so limited. The Firkins were so exciting. Cask beer outlets for young people! I think we even liked the puns.
