Exactly. Now that they’ve said it’s not political but just a financial decision he’s free to say whatever the fuck he wants. Then if they try to buy out his contract they’ll have no choice but to admit it’s political and ride those consequences.

My daughter contacted me immediately yesterdaywhen she saw the Colbert breaking news. She thought I'd be sad, but I surprised her by saying that actually I'm kinda excited to see what he does next LSSC is good, but IMO early "Colbert Report" was Peak Stephen. Can he pivot to break new ground again?
