Do you hold me responsible for the existence of LLMs and OpenAI? Because I had nothing to do with that! If anyone had asked me, I would have said that OpenAI should never have been founded. So what’s the evil part? Talking about future dangers at all?

If Climate Change activists talk about bad consequences of climate change that will happen in 2050 if we don’t work now to avoid them, do you call them “evil” because how dare they talk about anything other than Climate Change harms occurring right this second? Or what? I don’t understand.

Or is it “I shouldn’t talk about anything whatsoever besides current AI harms”? Do you say that to the people talking about heart disease? Or war? The world can have more than one problem! If you think I’m wasting my time on a non-issue, we can talk about that, but that’s “dumb” not “evil” right?
