The UCP base voters won't get the vaccine, so are unaffected by the policy. The UCP then get to punish the vaccine takers financially. Really, it's win-win for them.
What I want to know is are they actually profiting from it? They're ordering enough for approx. 10% population & the shot costs about 1/4 of what they're charging....who's pocketing the difference? Those are expensive "administration fees".....
Considering a budget surplus was reported a few days ago, there is no excuse not to make the shots available to everyone.
The Alberta UCP prioritized giving $300M for the new Flames arena which benefits billionaire tax-expat Murray Edwards, rather than on a proper COVID vaccination campaign.
Alberta UCP government wasted COVID vaccines last year, by telling Albertans they don't work, COVID is no big deal, & that vaccination is robbing folks of freedom. Now UCP are further punishing Albertans by issuing confusing messages about who shoul get vaccinated + charging $110/dose.

I emailed my UCP MLA last week to express my concerns with the COVID-19 vaccination plan, and she responded with a copy/paste email that did nothing to address my concerns. She responded again today with updated info (still copy/paste) with completely wrong information about eligibility for kids.
Don't vote for the Alberta UCP. They are bad people who lack empathy and don't have sufficient intelligence to govern.
Is this response intended for me? I have never voted for the UCP and never will.
It is intended for those who plan to vote for the Alberta UCP at the next provincial election. For all other Albertans: keep on not voting for the Alberta UCP.
