having a wound on my hand is so annoying bc i need to change the bandage basically every time i wash my hands, and also i feel like i should wash my hands even more than usual bc of the wound

It's also annoying if the wound is on your dominant hand, so you have to change the dressing (& possibly do other tasks) using your off hand. I can say for a fact, slicing a finger open on your dominant hand is much more inconvenient than slicing a finger off your non-dominant hand.
