You can read the study here It’s actually pretty positive www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Female hysteria is inflamed by radiation emitted by alkaline batteries
That’s a good one.
We need to have a serious conversation about the side effects of Ivermectin use.
And ketamine.
And Viagra...
HBC made my moods way more stable and predictable regardless of the time in my cycle. Without them I an easily see myself having clawed a man’s face off by age 30
Don't worry, there's still time for a good face-clawing 🥰
Trying to distort the actual findings to justify eliminating contraceptives? I would not put it past them as overturning Griswold vs Connecticut is one of the rights goals
Mr brainworm only needs to find one thing he doesn’t like. Then it’s no good. Because science and shut up.
Not just RFK jr (not mentioned), but Musk and Mike Lee (mentioned) and so many likeminded idiots science deniers are making life harder for the rest of us
I looked to make sure it was a reputable study—I’d trust most things coming from Rice University.
Fact: rice has arsenic in it. So don't go to school there, or you'll be poisoned by left-wing propaganda. /s
This was a pretty extensive report and I read most and scanned some. It didn’t sound bad at all. It actually had positive things to say about memory recall in emotional processing in those taking the HC…so not sure where Musk was going with all that.
You lost republicans at the word “Read”.
True. They prefer to be fed their opinions & beliefs.
Many (or several, at least) people have to say things.
For years, Elon Musk has expressed concern that the population is declining.
Muskmelonhead wants to create his own sperm bank, to artificially inseminate every viable woman on the planet. Talk about hell on earth!
I don’t think that man has ever had sex. Just a bunch of kids he doesn’t really raise.
I honestly don’t think Elon has ever had sex with a woman. All of his kids are conceived through IVF, I’m thinking sex selection embryos(all of his children are boys) he has numerous baby momma’s and he wants to have all his children and their mothers live in a compound together.
It is interesting, but I notice that while they screened for PCOS and ADHD, they didn't screen for Autism, which can affect how people interpret facial expressions and their own emotions. There is early research showing that people with PCOS tend to have higher AQ scores than the general population.
How about a counter campaign for influencers propelling ridiculous opinions on the internet. Found this some time ago..
I would like to see this study replicated while explicitly including pregnant women as a third group since many HCs are designed to trick the body into thinking it’s pregnant. It wouldn’t surprise me if pregnant people had the same effects as those on contraceptives.
You're coming at this from the wrong angle. If that were the case (& it may be), the fuckers will use it as an excuse to stop pregnant women from voting.
I don’t know how that could be extrapolated from this study, unless they would also want to ban all women on HCs from voting because… they have stronger memory regarding emotional events?
You're really not getting it, are you?
I guess not. I’m just interested in the science.

A pharmacy once didn't have my prescribed OC, gave me same brand "slightly stronger" version. Inside of two days, I was a different person inhabiting my body, uncontrollably emotional. Returned them and let the pharmacist experience my emotional imbalance. Told my OBGYN - always make sure they know.
Billionaires and morons (often one and the same) should not be “interpreting” scientific studies they do not understand. (Mike Lee: “Oh dear!”)
Yeah, I am sure it will get twisted by the empathy is bad crowd.
Yes. I posted the study states that hormonal contraception reduced memory for unpleasant experiences & this may actually be protective. And that it enhanced positive memories.
You wrote it?
I posted the conclusion of the study.
Yeah, I read the study and thought "This isn't saying what they think it is."
Even if this study was true, how does this affect anyone else’s quality of life? are these asshole men trying to insinuate women who take hormones are dangerous? All world wars are started by men. 97% of all mass murders are by men. Men, stop gaslighting us to prop up your small dicks & small egos.
positive for women = bad for Musk, Lee, and "Raw Egg Nationalist"
📌
I just read it, thank you for the link. Lots of huge, big, specific, scientific, large words which means no elected GOP nor their constituents can read it.
“Better emotion regulation success with distancing strategy in hormonal contraceptive users”. So, let me get this straight, Elon is suggesting the world would be better off is rich white guys swapped their testosterone supplements for HRT? It’s worth a try Elon.
Edolf Musk is a moron
More distractions!!!
Many women take contraception for reasons other than prevention of pregnancy. That’s nothing new.
Not the men all taking PEDs being up in arms about how HBC affects your emotions.
Beat me to it.
It's precisely those weak white males who are victimized by the male dominated-hormonal supplement industry. Amen. One day they'll accept they've been scammed. 🛐
Yeah, maybe we should respond to every post about this with something on the lack of emotional regulation and anger caused by t patches.
The Absurd Irony of guys like Andrew Sullivan, RFK2, Joe Rogan etc tsk-tsking "Hormones" while pumped full of T/steroids/whatever is one of the wonders of our Age...🤷♂️
Read the study? Why should I do that when it’s easier to just read one sentence on Twitter and form my opinion from that?
The study does not present any evidence therefore libs are dumm. /s
"yet their effects ... remain poorly understood" This says so much more about the lack of reasonable expenditures on study of women's health than most people want to know about! And trump wants to stop more of the research in the future, so the superrich can get more tax breaks! PATHETIC!
they would take ANY excuse to be misogynistic, it’s one of their sacred values that they lament america growing out of
Let them destroy themselves. We will rebuild.
I had to doublecheck it wasn't the journal that published this www.fertstert.org/article/S001...
pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC... These studies have been going on for decades. the n=60 in the groups. all 20-21 yr. old. all in all a small sample group of very restricted age group. it's not new that hormone therapy causes emotional fluxes.
Leave it to a male, pro-natalist right-wing influencer to spin the positive findings into election conspiracies.
Pretty positive?
Fine. Vasectomies for all “men” until they can prove they’re stable enough for fatherhood.
I tried that once. It was not well received as a talking point.
😆 I’m sure it wasn’t.
You'd think that men could have intelligent conversation with other men regarding the hypocrisy in dictating what we are "allowed" to do with our bodies. Oh, was I wrong. 🙈 Don't talk about taking away a man's ability to procreate in any way shape or form. That's fascism, as I was told. 🤡
Positive? One would never know for the lack of explanation the article provides. It's written for those who understand the language.
Wait, wait, wait — read the actual study? Is that allowed? Where's my copy of The Internet Rulebook.
I believe it’s technically allowed, but the rule is that only 5% of people are allowed to comprehend it.
If you read the study, you’re obligated to argue over its implications with at least six people online who “do their own research not including reading the study”
You people are kraken me up!
Well you see, it wasn’t a pop up picture book, so it’s to complicated for MAGA to understand
😂😂😂
Are we allowed to quote the rule book?!
If I don't read articles I'm sure as hell not reading a study
Yep
They conceal this information in books and peer reviewed journals.
it’s a cabal!!!!!👀👀👀👀🤣🤣🤣
And pesky patient information leaflets.
They are useful documents.
Those sneaky bastards!
It’s like the Bible- leave it to the “professionals” to tell you what it says.
BTW: I don't know where the author of the post got his info, but nowhere in the actual study (I used the FIND option) does it even mention "political behavior" or even politics. This is just another way to hasten Gilead.
Code for--- 'hysterical'
No need to read. How lucky you young people are to have Elon to explain things for you. Why in my day we just wouldn’t have known what to do.
