That's because it's not an award you campaign for, it's an award you earn. I looked at the nomination nations list and amongst the worthy people who have devoted their lives to helping vulnerable people, Donald Trump is on there, and so is Elon fkn Musk. Wtf!

There are a lot of people who can make nominations. That someone is nominated doesn't necessarily mean much. Some of them are just obvious political favoritism.
