same. most I heard at the time was about non-abdl-oriented party dipshits vandalizing rooms/pool. only thing that happened that made me uncomfortable at the time was some dipshit in apparently unironic "whoo iraq war" signage and mil cosplay

the Narrative around that one was always very after-the-fact to me
That's mostly what I heard. That and a pile of whip-it canisters dumped under a stairwell which sounded plausible. Heavy drug use, noise complaints, etc.
Like, even if every bit of it were true (which evidently it’s not); that still would mean people are judging a whole subsection of the fandom, for something a small few people did a decade ago. If that were supposed a common issue amongst babyfurs; wouldn’t it be something happening at all cons?
That’s the thing that gets me; even if you assume everything happened like that claim; it’s still an incredibly weak argument to make to hate babyfurs for.
So, for one, NONE of that was tied to babyfurs, we got in a tangent, sorry, there here a couple of rumored incidents that *could* be tied to babyfurs. The previously mentioned incident where someone was photographed wearing a diaper, no pants in the lobby (except he wasn't a babyfur)....(Continued)
A rumored incident where diapers where left on cars, which I've never heard of anyone talk much after the convention which if it where true, it would have been talked about more, and three,
a rumor of a used diaper in an elevator, which, again, seems less plausible because, who would just carry a diaper around to leave in an elevator, so either they quickly changed their diaper IN the elevator, which sounds RIDICULOUS or it was a prank, which,
in 10 YEARS, SOMEONE would have bragged SOMEWHERE. because what's the point of a prank if you can't gloat about it?
Oh I’m with you 100 percent; but I’m also pointing out how weak the argument is. The claim they hate babyfurs, because of something that a few people supposedly did at a convention a decade ago. Like, would they judge any other group of people for that: or do the change the standards for babyfurs?
I mean we all know it’s the latter.
YEP!
EXACTLY. It's not like this is accerped behavior in babyfur circles. We're hypervigilant BECAUSE people have a vendetta against us. We have rules for each other, and at the top of the list is, put simply, don't fucking stink in public, which basically means no shitting yourself in public.
It’s high time the Rainfurrest thing go out to rest once and for all. Do people still plan to use that same argument 20 years later; 30? At what point to people start to question how unfair, and ridiculous it is?
