I never know if it’s because ADHD or if I’m just not having a good time. In this case I just don’t think a game should have ass combat and get good towards the end. Story was good but continually does that thing where we stop the main story to do a stupid small task 💀😭

I've learned to differentiate. Its if I can go off about the problems or not. If I'm not feeling a game but struggling to articulate why, it's likely me. If I have a laundry list of stuff I find not fun? It deserved it. 😂
Okay let’s do this. I’m 30 hours in and the story stopped several times to do something stupid despite the kingdom in danger. Combat is ass and doesn’t get better till much later. Combat just sucks in general.
First point is not a deal breaker, the second point is. The first one on top of the second one *absolutely* is. I'd drop it too.
You can miss attacks but not lock on to a target 💀

But yea, its cool bro. I know the combat mechanics in TTEOT is ass, I just loved it because it was the first SO game I owned, not borrowed or rented.. I dealt with it and had to learn the game inside and out in order to beat it in 4D mode. (Its why I won’t play Elden Ring or Bloodborne.. 🤣🤣💀)
What do you mean " get good towards the end?" Side Kick is the first skill you learn.
It wasn’t. Side kick you get much later, and having one good skill doesn’t negate “get good towards the end.”
Life is too short to play games we hate. The last thing I want to do after adulting all day is spend my free time playing something im not having fun with.
Bro, I loved SO3 back on PS2 but when I tried to replay it on PS4, I just couldn't get back into the combat system. Plus, I encountered a progress-stopping glitch that would make the game hard crash every time. FTR, SO4 is much better with combat.
For me, doesn’t really matter. If I’m not enjoying a game at that time, I’ll drop it. I have something else to play or read or watch.

There's a lot of that story bit stuff. There's a helluva a twist at the end that really threw me. But if the combat is t clicking, definitely drop it.
I just wish it didn’t wait till the end of the game to get better. I know SO2 did that too but I enjoyed that more.
Tbh, that's why I didn't finish Divine Source. My mind wandered too much and I started playing Mass Effect.
