What I keep wondering is this: are we fighting back? If Russia is fighting a shadow war out of fear of a real one, can't Europe exploit that? Is it happening and we just don't hear about it?

I expect we have plans to defend Svalbard/Finmark and Baltics, given our work supporting Norwegian Navy and Baltic armies. But there’s little will to do any more amongst general population. People were laughing on here. about the idea of war and conscription a year ago.
No, I mean fighting back in the shadow war. Messing with infrastructure, disrupting core functions etc. If they're doing it to us, are we punching back? Especially when we could pass any blame onto Ukraine.
I suspect if we were doing the exact same thing there would be a lot more Russian plane crashes, given standards of maintenance.
