Bluesky, unfortunately, is not a healthy environment for serious discourse. Abusive dogpiling cost us useful allies re plausible strategies for the greater leftward coalition. Our best people eagerly join in without checking validity of premises or plausibility of conclusions.
That is true of literally every social media site though— you have to filter that crap out everywhere. What is the alternative platform where “Discourse Is Civil, Serious, and Productive?” Doesn’t exist. This is literally the best of all of them.
I’m with you on the premise, like — just look at the shit Stancil gets. But he also drives a lot of meaningful and interesting discourse on here when you filter the trolls out.
